Welcome to the Winter-Flicker Residence!

The Winter Residence will be an energy & water efficient, single family GreenPoint Rated home in Encinitas. We will be constructing the home to require very little heating or cooling by installing high-performance doors & windows, insulating it well, and making it airtight with breakthrough and revolutionary AeroBarrier technology.

Goals include:

1. Air-to-Water harvesting system to supply indoor water to the home
2. Collection and storage of all rainwater from the roof and stormwater from the site, to be used for landscape irrigation
3. All-Electric, Zero Energy Home
4. Large Solar PV system + Battery Bank
5. 24-Volt DC LED lighting coupled directly to batteries, dramatically reducing lighting energy requirements. The resiliency provided by these components intend to provide for grid-autonomy for both water and energy.
